The Last Year, as it Happened in Bush’s Head
by Mike GodeskyA year and one day ago today, George W. Bush made his grand entrance by fighter plane aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. In that moment of victory Bush, standing in front of a banner that proudly boasted the words “Mission Accomplished,” delcared, “major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.” Indeed, since America’s victorious end to the war in Iraq in May 2003, the scene in the Middle East has been nothing but peaceful.
The Iraqis are now governing themselves under an open and free democracy put in place by the Bush Administration without any troubles or uncertainty. And of course, because this is a free and democratic government, there has been absolutely no opposition to the process of transferring power.
There has been little violence since America’s liberation of Iraq. Indeed, the Iraqi people greeted American soliders as liberators. Just looking at this graphical breakdown of coalition casulaties proves how easy this conflict has been. And, as Bush said to the crew of the Lincoln, American soldiers in Iraq are “homeward bound.”
But probably the greatest part of America’s victory in Iraq is that nobody can deny the justifications for the war. We have proven to the world that Saddam Hussein possessed dangerous weapons of mass destruction. Furthermore, we have shown that Hussein was working with the terrorist group al Qaeda. Thus, the war made the world safer and avenged the victims of 9/11.
Thank God that is all behind us now.

Id like to report on the state of our war against the american people. Were mounting a sustained campaign to crack down on every america, and every
person
of every faith, and every nation and to bring them to justice. All missions are being executed according to plan without warning or provocation.
Americans
are being swept up in an international drag net. Thousands of FBI Agents are on the trail of other citizens here and abroad. It has everything to do
with hate
and evil and murder and prejudice. America is strong.
