Relaunch Recap
by Jason Godesky- The biggest news is the launch of The Fifth World. See “The Fifth World Manifesto” for more (a lot more) on what it is, and why we did it.
- The other big news is the podcast. In our first episode, “The Notion of the Tribe,” we interview Daniel Quinn. The tentative schedule for the next month and a half right now is:
- “Afterculture & the Fifth World,” with Michael Green, the man who made Afterculture.
- “The Wrong Revolution,” with Richard Manning, author of Against the Grain and “The Oil We Eat.”
- “The Rhizome Network,” with everyone’s favorite spook, Jeff Vail.
- “Catabolic Collapse,” with John Michael Greer.
- “Permaculture & the Modern Hunter-Gatherer,” with permaculture guru Toby Hemenway.
We wanted to come out with a strong line-up … I think we succeeded!
- There’s a new skin, of course. I explain why in, “Designer’s Rationale: ‘SubRoman MMVI’.”
- Everyone in the tribe has made an entry on what they think constitutes a tribe. My own announced Steve’s departure from the tribe, while Mike and Giuli concentrated on more philosophical aspects, trying to answer the question of, “What is a tribe?”

Excellent! You’re back! And with a new rpg for me to foam over too.
Consider Fifth World bookmarked. Maybe now I can get my nerdly buddies to open up to the concepts in Ishmael, with some well-placed rpg elements (as I am the DM). And D20 to boot! Easy-peasy.

Mayhap you’ll help us playtest our d20 version and file the edges? It’s a tad … rough … as it is now. To put it mildly.

Nice reincarnation, everybody. Love the podcast. Still figuring out the fifth world. One problem: the “tags” section over on the left doesn’t seem to work. Whichever tag is clicked on brings up every post.

Yeah … I know. The tags plugin doesn’t work with WordPress 2.0 yet.

Good to see the tribe back online. Now get out there and change the world.

Welcome back!
This is one of the most interesting and important sites online. I’m glad to see you are all doing well and am looking forward to starting my day with the Anthropik Tribe again.
You were missed.
Good luck!
