  1. Thanks to Willem over at the College of Mythic Cartography for pointing this one out for me. Anyone unfamiliar with the College should take advantage of that link and dedicate a few hours to poking around; it’s easily one of the best sites on the internet. Period.

The timing could hardly be better, too. I’m working on an article for later this week on bioregionalism. It’s looking like it’s going to be pretty long, and this really sets the tone for it. It’ll be the start of a series exploring the bioregions of North America.

  2. For those blog readers who are in Australia, particularly the Sydney area, you may be very interested in going next week to meet Bob Randall in person, as he’s talking, introducing & showing his new film Kanyini (a full length documentary film @ 53 mins).

Quoting from that special screening website:

Kanyini is a beautiful film in magnificent colour which looks at the world’s oldest living culture in a way that has never been seen before. Uncle Bob Randall, traditional owner of Uluru and former Indigenous Person of the Year, is the storyteller of Kanyini which he describes as a the principle of connectedness through caring and responsibility that informs all aspects of Aboriginal life. Rated PG.

Interesting timing of this blog for us Sydneysiders!

  3. The logo at the beginning is unfortunately designed… since “global” and “oneness” run together, the first thing I read was, “aloneness.”
